THE EVIDENCE PATH

From price gap to a decision you can inspect.

A number is not an opportunity by itself. VenueRift keeps the event, contract, timing, size, and unresolved risks beside the arithmetic so you can see what passed, what failed, and what still needs a human check.

HOW IT WORKS

Four stages, with the evidence carried forward.

  1. 01

    Discover

Find price differences inside a supported game and market type.

  2. 02

    Prove

Confirm event identity, participants, game, orientation, and market selections.

  3. 03

    Qualify

Check settlement compatibility, quote age, depth, fees, and known limits.

  4. 04

    Verify

Recheck both venues before deciding whether and how to act.

BLOCKER EXPLANATIONS

A market can match and still be unsafe to use.

Two selections may match while the overall comparison still needs confirmation or remains blocked. VenueRift does not turn an unknown rule, missing timestamp, or unavailable book into a silent assumption.

READY TO VERIFY

The supported checks passed.

Recheck both prices, offered size, account eligibility, and venue status before acting.

NEEDS CONFIRMATION

The match can remain valid while risk is unknown.

Typical reasons include unknown exceptional settlement rules or sportsbook capacity.

BLOCKED

A hard requirement failed.

Examples include changed event details, conflicting rules, an old price, the wrong market type, or unavailable price depth.

SETTLEMENT GUIDE

Compare what happens after the ordinary final score.

To treat a price gap as an all-outcome arbitrage, both venues must handle exceptional results the same way. VenueRift separates nine MLB rule checks instead of hiding them behind one yes/no label.

  • 01Extra innings
  • 02Shortened game
  • 03Suspended or resumed game
  • 04Doubleheader identity
  • 05Postponement
  • 06Cancellation
  • 07Abandonment
  • 08Venue change
  • 09Tie or void treatment
Rules match
Every required outcome is understood and handled the same way.
Rules conflict
At least one known outcome is handled differently, so the comparison is blocked.
Needs confirmation
At least one outcome is unclear. Any displayed calculation still depends on an assumption.
Outdated
A rule or market detail changed and must be checked again.

QUOTE FRESHNESS GUIDE

“Observed now” is not the same as “priced now.”

VenueRift separates the time supplied by the venue, when the price reached VenueRift, its age when checked, and whether the connection is working. The age limit stays beside the comparison where it matters.

01Venue price time

When the venue says the price changed, if supplied.

02Received time

When VenueRift received the price.

03Age check

How old the price was when VenueRift evaluated the comparison.

04Connection status

Whether the data is current, aging, stale, unknown, or disconnected—and why.

MANUAL VERIFICATION

Before either leg, check the facts that can still move.

  1. Event

Confirm the teams, home-away direction, start, game number, and full-game market type on both venues.

  2. Rules

Open the current contract and sportsbook rules. Resolve every item marked unknown or changed.

  3. Prices

Confirm both prices still exist, the displayed prediction-market depth remains available, and fees have not changed.

  4. Capacity

Check stake limits, account eligibility, market suspension, location rules, and any account-specific price.

  5. Sequence

Decide how you will handle one leg filling while the other moves, rejects, or partially fills.

  6. Record

Keep the final inputs and assumptions you actually used; do not rely on an older screen state.

FAQ

Questions to answer before trusting the gap.

Does a Ready to verify state guarantee profit?

No. It means the displayed checks passed on the evidence shown. Prices, available size, account acceptance, and venue status can change before either order is accepted.

What does settlement unknown mean?

The markets can still refer to the same event and outcome while one or more exceptional-result rules remain unproven. VenueRift may keep an assumption-dependent calculation visible, but it requires confirmation and is not described as strict arbitrage.

Why can two markets with similar names be blocked?

Names are candidate clues, not proof. A different game number, reversed home-away orientation, unsupported period, stale identity, or incompatible rule can make similar-looking markets unsafe to combine.

Does VenueRift place orders or hold credentials?

No. VenueRift prepares the comparison and calculation context. You keep custody of keys, venue logins, balances, and every final order decision.

Why can a fresh quote still be unusable?

Freshness answers when a quote was observed. It does not prove available capacity, account eligibility, fee treatment, or that the second leg will remain available.

Can I calculate a market VenueRift does not scan?

Yes. The public arbitrage calculator accepts two-way or three-way decimal odds you enter. It performs arithmetic only and does not verify the underlying markets.

USE THE NUMBERS

Test a two-way or three-way allocation.

The calculator shows the arithmetic, fees, rounding, and cash result for every outcome. You supply and verify the markets.
